Randburg Clinic School Resource Centre
The purpose of Randburg Clinic School as a Resource Centre (RCSRC) is to provide specialized professional support for educators in the Johannesburg North district via the DBST. The services offered include the training of teachers regarding barriers to learning, developing material for learning support, management of inclusive classrooms, therapy services, guidance to parents and life skills programmes to make learners with barriers less vulnerable to abuse.
This professional support for educators and parents will be conducted mainly through workshops held at the Resource Centre, which is located at 51 Milner Street, Randburg. The therapy services for learners include the following: –
- Psychological assessments
- Educational assessments
- Counselling (psychologists and social workers)
- Speech and hearing therapy
- Health screening by a qualified nurse
- Occupational Therapy
- Social Worker
